This workshop was an initiative of the Instituto de Estudios Superiores de Monterrey (ITESM) Campus Cuernavaca and they invited Travesia to facilitate a half day workshop to engage community and students in co-creating sustainable development in Cuernavaca, Mexico. The workshop started with a panel of important actors in the City that are promoting Sustainable Development in the business, academy or public sector. A world cafe took place to develop ideas that community members and students had in relation to what will contribute to a more sustainable Cuernavaca. Cycling paths, waste management, ethics and education amongst police forces, urban gardening, amongst many others were some of the ideas discussed at length and action plans were developed for the most tangible ones. The workshop brought together about 100 people and was the first of its kind in Cuernavaca.
” The Travesia team were a delight to work with. As a coordinator of this project I can say their spirit was fully serving the process and goal of this event. They naturally connected with the people and flow, and they made an effective and friendly contribution to this project. We are looking forward to repeating the experience sometime in the near future.”
