PCL Construction has a long history of working with sustainability.   However, they were looking at ways to re-energize and re-fresh their work in this area given the progress they had made and the changing world around them.  In this context, Travesia worked with The Natural Step, by leading a project to take stock of how PCL was doing, which included interviews with key external stakeholders, interviews with internal leaders, a best practices scan of key competitors, a review of key integral initiatives, and a survey of employees.  All this was done with the intention to clarify the strengths and gaps of their sustainability strategy.

This work was, in turn, used in a workshop of internal leaders to understand the data, tease out key lessons for PCL and determine next steps.

We are honoured to have the opportunity to work with such a well respect business such as PCL, and are looking forward to future opportunities to support them in their journey.

” We really appreciate the great work and insight that Pong Leung and John Purkis from Natural Step provided PCL as we explore the next steps of our sustainability strategy.  The process was of great value to us, and we look forward to working together more in the future.”
